Supports children in re-enacting or recreating experiences. Children develop language and literacy skills as they represent their ideas through different media and collaborate with peers as part of a team.
Promotes a respect for nature and the environment and builds a positive sense of self as children accept responsibility for growing and caring for plants. As children work with nature, they observe, plan, record data and share their findings (using both literacy and numeracy skills)
Music and movement
Develops understanding about musical concepts, rhythm, pitch as well as skills in body coordination and creative movement , social activity that develop the sense of being part of a group.
The children will participate in frequent food preparation experiences. Discussing nutrition and helping to set the meal tables are all part of making a valuable contribution to the way the day flows.
